Dedicated to the memory of Sandra George a dedicated mother, grandmother, sister and friend

This site is a tribute to Sandra. She is much loved and will always be remembered.

Mum, Sandra, was a dedicated volunteer at the Hospice and we want to make this tribute in her honor.  Despite everything she was battling, Mum would work at the hospice kitchen regularly.  She always gave to other people and never thought of herself.

Thoughts

My lovely Auntie, always a presence in my life. Some of my earliest memories are of Auntie Sandra, staying with her and Jackie in their swinging Kensington flat. As well as visits to Richmond Park, London Zoo and other London sights, I also "learned to swim" on that trip - well, I can remember looking up from the bottom of Hammersmith Baths and seeing Auntie Sandra on the side, after she chucked me in when I complained about having to wear armbands (for "complained", read "had a screaming tantrum"). So many other fond memories over the past 51 years; Auntie Sandra was kind, generous, nurturing and ALWAYS loving. Over recent years it was always Auntie Sandra that kept the family meeting up - her Christmas parties were such fun and it was lovely to see all the family together. Goodbye Auntie San. I'll miss you, you leave a big hole in our lives. Jus x

A Lifetime in a NUT(T) SHELL There are friends and there are special friends and Sandra was a special friend. We met in Malta serving in the WRNS and on our return to England we both joined BOAC and shared a flat in London. Sandra got married and I was privileged to be godmother to her first born, Tim. We have been friends for 58 years and I find comfort knowing she is now at peace in the hands of the good Lord. I will miss her - truly a special friend, Jackie

First met Sandra early 1980 when we were taking children to Play Group in Holmes Chapel. Sandra became a warm, kind and caring friend who we all feel privileged to have known. Woodward Family, Cheshire.
